TOGO armchair

Togo by Ligne Roset // Balzac Armchair by SCP Furniture

Two very contrasting styles, two very iconic designs and two best sellers.

Both available to view at the Tangram Showroom, Edinburgh.

Togo – Ligne Roset

Michel Ducaroy’s designed Togo was launched in 1973, a timeless, iconic piece that continues to enrapture a captive audience. For this very reason, the Togo has remained a staple within the Tangram showroom over the years. A perfect example of a pioneering design which we use to embody Ligne Roset as a brand.

Whether you are strolling through Instagram or hunting inspiration on Pinterest, you are bound to come across this timeless design.  From laid back gaming pads to minimalist chic, welcoming family rooms to high-end lux interiors, Michel Ducaroy’s unique and unmistakable chair is able to transform and adapt to a wide range of styles.

Balzac Armchair – SCP Furniture

SCP was founded in 1985, first exhibiting at the Salone del Mobile in Milan a year later. With a keen knack for working with prominent designers, their growing reputation was further solidified in 1991 with the launch of the Balzac Chair.

Described as the ‘last word in the world of club armchairs’, it was created by Matthew Hilton, a renowned British furniture designer. The Balzac Chair has become an iconic piece and holds a permanent position in the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Handmade in Britain, the upholstery wraps around a solid beech frame to create a distinctive silhouette. The Balzac is a statement piece of furniture and one that all design lovers will appreciate. A true modern classic and an interior design favourite.
