Nestled on the ground floor of a historic 19th-century tenement, Walker Luxury Jeweller is perfectly situated in the heart of Dundee. Over the years, Walker has earned a distinguished reputation as diamond merchants, celebrated for their careful selection of exquisite diamond jewellery from renowned artisans worldwide. Specialising in fine Swiss timepieces, Walker Luxury Jeweller is also proud to be Dundee’s official stockist of prestigious brands like Rolex and Tudor.
Having recently been refurbished, architect-led design agency, Aim Design, was brought in to reimagine the front-of-house retail space.
Aim approached the project with the goal of not only complementing the watch section within the store but also ensuring that the entire retail space maintained a level of sophistication for this luxury jeweller and their discerning clientele.
Tangram was delighted to collaborate with Aim Design in bringing their vision to life by sourcing and supplying furniture that enhanced the luxury of the space. As such, Andreu World’s Brandy armchairs and Lineal side chairs were carefully chosen to create inviting pockets of comfort throughout the store. These seating areas are more than just stylish additions—they play a key role in the customer experience by offering a moment of relaxation in an elegant environment.
In a setting where high-value goods are being considered, providing a comfortable space allows customers the time and ease to reflect on their purchases, rather than feeling rushed into a decision. This thoughtful design approach aligned perfectly with the client’s vision of providing an elevated shopping experience which combines beauty, comfort, and luxury.
Due to the lovely warm and subtle colour palette of the space, both chairs were chosen in a walnut finish with a deep and sumptuous chocolate leather. This also ensured that the pieces blended into the environment in a complementary way allowing the jewellery to take centre stage above anything else.
Tangram is proud to have been part of such a successful and inspiring project, working alongside a team that understands the nuances of luxury retail.
