13 Jul A designer’s diary: Sarah’s Entry – A Summer Snug
In this blog series we highlight our interior designer’s thoughts and inspirations. This week Sarah shares with us her mood board – A Summer Snug
Rolling hills, breezy barley fields and fluffy farm animals are this week’s muse.
Using blended tones inspired by nature, a calming and tranquil setting is created. A focus on magnificent texture instills cosiness and brings the ‘wow factor’. This is a space where one instantly feels secure, at home and comfortable. It is a summer snug, a much needed cosy corner for any British home.
Create this look:
- Aspiro 8000 pendant – Secto. A playful spiral pendant handmade of PEFC-certified form pressed birch in Finland
- Orlando lounge chair – SCP. Capturing cosiness in an instant with this characterful armchair.
- Capas rug – Nanimarquina. Calas focuses on the creation and use of layers of colours, tonality and shadow to generate intense depth.
- The White Edit Collection – Bute Fabrics. A collection of Bute’s signature designs in a muted colour palette which accentuates the natural beauty of the yarn and the weave.
- Shade Pouf – Nanimarquina. A seating accessory that produces an incredible experience of colour and evokes feelings of tranquility.
- Ikebana vase – Fritz Hansen. The vase is designed to honour every flower placed within it, from stem to crown.
- Dorchester Pink paint – Little Greene. A soft and subtle pink from an independent British paint company with a gorgeous collection of high quality paints and wallpapers.
