10 Dec Customisation at the Heart of Porro
Italian Excellence
Recently, Jenny and Rebekah had the privilege of visiting Porro’s headquarters and factory in Montesolaro, Italy. Known for their innovative and elegant storage solutions, Porro has become a global leader in bespoke furniture, particularly their exceptional wardrobes.
A family-owned company, now in its fourth generation, Porro has a deep commitment to their craft, reflecting the care, dedication, and values that often defines a family-run business. This was immediately recognised and what struck Jenny and Rebekah most was the meticulous attention to detail at every stage of production. From the selection of materials to the precision of assembly, Porro’s dedication to quality is unmistakable. Using a combination of both traditional techniques and cutting-edge technology, Porro ensures designs are both beautiful and durable.
Veneers are hand applied to each side of the panel
And then heat pressed to ensure adhesive is securely bonded
Strips seen here are used for the edging of the panels that are applied by a specialist machine
The possibilities within the Porro product range are endless and one system can look vastly different depending on the needs of the client. See below for some exquisite examples of this!
