Compact, adaptable and delightful, Gustave is a new design from Flos, designed by Vincent Van Duysen. The portable, self-powered luminaire was named after Monsieur Gustave H. the legendary concierge in Wes Anderson’s comedy-drama film, The Grand Budapest Hotel. Just like the character which the lamp is named after, the Gustave portable light is both quirky and charming.
Santa & Cole’s Básica Mínima Batería portable lights work beautifully in so many settings. We love the designer’s choice in materials – a birch cylindrical base and a choice between a pleated natural parchment shade or a ribbon stitched shade. Cosy with a modern expression, these portable lights make a wonderful addition to homes or restaurant tables.
Panthella is a design collaboration between Louis Poulsen and architect and designer Verner Panton. Widely recognised, Panthella is a lighting icon with an organic shape and soft glow. It serves as a ‘beautiful example of Verner Panton’s brilliant sense of creating atmospheric illumination.’ Available in a range of bright and beautiful colours, this distinct design is sure to add character to any interior.
An indoor-outdoor portable light, Obello is the creation of American designer, Bill Curry. ‘Using the visual form of a mushroom, he took inspiration from the atomic age, space race, and pop culture that would go on to define 1970s Los Angeles.’ The clever design is splash-proof and provides up to 40 hours of light!
Marset’s Dipping Light, designed by Jordi Canudas, started as an experiment – dipping a switched on light bulb into paint again and again. The result is a mesmerising collection of lights with a candy-like appearance. When switched on the ombre layers of colour become bolder and even more enchanting. Each version in the collection gives off a slightly different glow, it is as if they have personalities of their own.
Designed by Michael Anastassiades in 2020, the Last Order portable light is the epitome of elegance. Light is diffused through a transparent crystal base – available in smooth or fluted versions. Like polished glassware on a table, Last Order has a sophisticated presence.
