01 Nov Edinburgh Homebuilding & Renovating Show
We recently exhibited at the Homebuilding & Renovating Show (HBRS) at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh. We took this as a chance to introduce potential clients and architects to a particular aspect of Tangram’s service and product range.
The HBRS is an opportunity for self-builders and renovators to see products in person and talk face-to-face with a wide variety of experts. We visited the Glasgow show in May where we were extremely impressed by not only the high footfall, but the number of people with a genuine interest in the products/services offered.
Feeling encouraged by the captivated audience in Glasgow, we decided to book a space at the Edinburgh show. We took this as an opportunity to promote aspects of our offering that should ideally be considered in the design stages of a build.
Working with RG Workshops, we designed a bespoke stand in order to fit built-in sliding doors and a walk-in wardrobe system from Rimadesio and an electric blind and curtain from Silent Gliss.
We displayed ‘Velaria’ sliding doors and ‘Dress Bold’ system from Rimadesio to create a walk-in wardrobe. The doors are glass with a bronzed mesh effect and a brown aluminium structure which are complemented by the walnut interior of the wardrobe.
The composition of the Dress Bold, along with all Rimadesio wardrobe systems, is completely bespoke and built to specification. It includes options such as trouser racks, draw-out trays and soft-close units. Rimadesio have a number of sliding door products. Each are available in a variety of finishes and colours of glass which are ideal as room dividers or wardrobe doors.
Many prospective home builders will plan for walk-in wardrobes in the design stages of their build. Window dressing, on the other hand, can often be an afterthought. While blind and curtain solutions are still achievable after the build is complete, they may not provide the ideal aesthetic. For example, early planning allows clients and architects to design blind pockets at the head of windows – as shown on our stand.
We had the 4960 electric roller blind and 5600 electric curtain track from Silent Gliss on display – both of which were controlled by the Silent Gliss ‘Move’ app on our mobiles. The Move app allows operation of blinds and curtains from within the home or from afar and includes the option to programme automatic opening/closing times. If you’d like more information please let us know – we can send you out a brochure!
All of the products on display were very well received and provided inspiration for many visitors at the planning/design stages of their build. A very successful weekend for Tangram!
