01 Aug House Tour: Melbourne Home of Paul Hecker
One of our favourite blogs for interior inspiration is Design Files, the perfect place to soak up some Australian design. The home of interior designer Paul Hecker caught our eye because of the beautiful mix of Scandinavian style with sleek, Italian furniture. The effect is a contemporary style that is elegant but still feels at home in a sunny, relaxed environment such as St Kilda, Melbourne.
The main living room proudly presents a cluster of small white side tables but is dominated by a large Charles sofa from B&B Italia. The black pillow on the white sofa is mirrored in the leather P22 armchair from Fritz Hansen, itself with a white cushion.
The white Ant chairs and table from Fritz Hansen are beautifully set off against the dark wall colour. You can really feel the Scandi style in this room, above all in the table decorations.
A second lounge room has a lovely Arc light from Flos, more sleek leather furniture and Scandinavian decoration. Also, we are loving all the pot plants! The bedroom is minimalistic and even has room for a small home office, with more Fritz Hansen in the shape of a gorgeous blue Swan armchair. Via The Design Files
