08 Dec Introducing: USM, Moooi Carpets & Resident

Our portfolio seems to be continually expanding! But – we’re not complaining.  While we try to keep our portfolio selective, it’s impossible to ignore the quality and relevance of certain brands.  So, we welcome 3 new brands to Tangram, all with very different offerings.

Firstly, we have USM.  A Swiss company committed to manufacturing entirely adaptable furniture for offices and the home.  Created from just a few basic elements, including a patented chrome ball joint, USM provide tailor-made solutions that can be expanded or reconfigured at any time.

From a small bedside cabinet to a large shelving system, USM products can work in every room of the house and often move around to take on different roles.

USM also tick two important boxes in modern day office requirements:  open plan privacy solutions and sustainable furniture.  They recently introduced ‘Privacy Panels’ – another modular system which ensures privacy and optimises acoustics in open plan working areas.  (Image below also featuring Series 7 chairs from Fritz Hansen & Twiggy light from Foscarini!)

It isn’t often that you come across modular furniture systems that can work equally well in homes and commercial projects. However with an array of colour options and compositions available, USM furniture can truly suit any environment.

Another exciting new addition is Moooi Carpets.  Launched by the well established Moooi brand, Moooi carpets have opened the door to endless possibilities in carpet customisation and personalisation.

The carpets are printed using a groundbreaking HD Chromojet printer which offers an unlimited mix of colours and designs.  There are 3 categories to choose from:  Signature Carpets, Adjustable Moooi Works and Your Own Design.  The Signature Collection consists of 48 entirely unique and playful designs printed in photo-like quality.

“How many times have you seen a carpet you like, but the colours aren’t right?”  The Adjustable Moooi Works allows you to choose your favourite design from a library of patterns and adjust the colour combinations in order to find the perfect match for your interior.

A third option is to create something entirely new!  Working with the team of experts at Moooi, you can create a custom made carpet using your own designs.  They can work with sketches, blueprints, textiles, samples, fabrics or wallpapers in all formats imaginable. This means that no matter the scale or scope, Moooi Carpets can manufacturer bespoke carpets and rugs for your project.

And last but not least, we welcome a brand from a little further afield.  Resident are a New Zealand brand who are the first to edit and produce the country’s best contemporary designs.  They are a “globally focused company committed to the Design, Manufacture and Distribution of high quality Lighting and Furniture for commercial and domestic environments.”  And the end products are truly stunning…

Many of the products are hand made – including the Parison pendant seen above which is even more beautiful in person.  Another is the unique Oud table lamp below:

No, the marble ball isn’t there just to look pretty! A quarter turn activates the internal switch and controls the LED light.  The brand also produce seating and tables which coincide with the beautifully simplistic nature of the lighting range. It’s products such as these that add a different edge to our portfolio and we’re very excited to specify Resident in future projects.
