28 Apr Magic Carpets
Leading German furniture manufacturer Walter Knoll rolled out the carpet (literally) to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Milan Furniture Fair, launching three new products in addition to its first rug collection, the stunning “Legends of Carpets”
The nine Walter Knoll carpets in the range were developed in collaboration with fabric designer Helmut Scheufele and are inspired by the wealth of shapes and colours in Africa, further underlining the furnishing excellence of the brand.
Comprised of Tibetan wool, Chinese silk and the yarn of nettle fibres, the carpets are hand-crafted under ecologically sustainable and socially responsible conditions in Nepal using traditional Tibetan knotting and dying methods.
Each of the nine designs is available in any size up to 4 x 4 metres, although further sizes and shapes are available on request. View the “Legends of Carpets” catalogue online
