02 Nov ORGATEC 2018 Cologne
Throughout numerous industries, we continue to see the modernisation of the workplace. ORGATEC 2018 is at the heart of this movement, with a central theme of “culture@work” the event presents visionary concepts for the whole world of work, allowing organisations to get the best out of the environment they are in. We have kept a close eye on this year’s fair and have been inspired by our key manufacturers and emerging brands.
Walter Knoll – Jaan Silent
Described as an oasis in open space. Comfortable upholstery floats over understated legs. Jaan Silent creates private islands: for a spontaneous get-together in a small team, a creative session or quite simply five minutes of ‘me’ time.
Bla Station – BOB Job
Bla Station’s BOB family grows at ORGATEC 2018.
BOB Job, is the perfect solution for a casual and creative workspace:
a sofa system which can be configured in any conceivable way and is at the
forefront of the new office environment.
Andreu World + Kvadrat: Glow Fabric
“Glow”, a new high-quality fabric created by Kvadrat. It is woven in a traditional Jacquard loom, a method used to create particularly detailed and precise designs and has been applied to a selection of Andreu World designs to meet the needs of new workspaces.
+Halle – Torno
Danish brand +Halle, and Swedish studio Form Us With Love have collaborated to produce a sleek and simple series of tables, chairs and benches. The minimalist appeal of this range will work well to create clutter free environments.
+Halle – Nest
In contrast to the minimalist appeal of Torno family, this collaboration has resulted in the Nest collection expanding to include the new Easy Nest. A streamlined, high back armchair with a widened seat that benefits from encasing tall side walls.
Zeitraum – Okito Ply Chair
The OKITO Ply Chair by Zeitraum has a solid wood seat yet weighs less than 5 kilos, thus making it ideal for quick and easy movement in commercial settings.
Complete the range with bar stools, trolleys and table.
Vitra
Vitra continue to innovate with their workspace collections. The continually improving of processes through integrated technology remains to be an ever important element of furniture design. Sevil Peach created a fabulous range of colours and materials for the ‘Company Home’ especially for ORGATEC 2018.
The ‘Shared Office’ interior concept by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby is a space that blurs the boundaries between the office and public space.
In addition, Konstantin Grcic’s concept for the ‘Super Flexible Office’ is notable and very functional with the rise of multiple use spaces in today’s society.
Mitab – Bug Beam
The Bug Beam is a brilliantly dynamic piece of furniture. Progressing from a Chair to the Bug Beam picture above, Mitab’s thoughtful designed can be used in a range of environments. Moreover, the eccentric combination of the classic woollen blazer, with its reinforcing leather elbow patches will make this product a memorable sensory experience for it’s user.
