24 Jun Our Manufacturers’ Latest Designs: The Hotel Edit
We were fortunate enough to visit both Salone del Mobile (Milan) and 3daysofdesign (Copenhagen) this year, two highly anticipated furniture fairs.
Both events were hugely inspiring and as expected the latest designs from our manufacturers were all absolutely stunning! But as always there was a lot to take in! We therefore wanted to bring some order to sharing all this lovely newness with you. As a result, we have categorised these beautiful designs into the different sectors/projects you may be working on.
Starting with the hotel edit, we hope these new designs will bring inspiration to your upcoming hotel projects.
Inspiration for Hotel Interiors
Tubelight – Moooi
Moooi released a new lighting design – the immensely versatile Tubelight. Whether it’s lighting, furniture, wallpaper or textiles there is always an element of wackiness to Moooi’s designs and Tubelight certainly fitted this mould. Flexible by nature, the tube can be draped over the sleek black fixture or fixed to the ceiling or wall with the clamping holders.
Kaldewei Collection – e15
Spa vibes from E15. The German manufacturer and Kaldewei presents a stunning collection of bathroom furniture and accessories that evokes luxury! Crafted from solid European oak, the collection features an array of pieces, including stools in various heights, a bench, a footboard, a towel rack, and a bath bridge.
Brera – Poltrona Frau
Poltrona Frau release a 90th Anniversary Edition of their Brera bench. The seat is made solely of leather-coloured straps with warm and cool tones that intertwine in a highly contemporary geometric and tactile pattern. Whether Brera is placed in a corridor or at the end of a bed it will instantly add depth and interest.
Holy Moly – Bla Station
When drama is needed, Holy Moly candlesticks are the answer! With the tallest model being a whopping 160cm in height, these certainly will make a statement. Perfect for communal spaces in hotels where they will immediately add an element of charm.
Narinari – B&B Italia
Narinari is a small armchair with an unusual shape.Upholstered in raw cut felt, with meticulous detailing and finishing, Narinari is reminiscent of a silhouette folded like origami. Original and striking, Narinari would look particularly fabulous as a side chair in a hotel bedroom.
Collar – Bensen
A recent but not new new design, is the Collar chair from Bensen. It was lovely to be reminded of this product when we visited Milan. Perfect as a side chair in a hotel bedroom or indeed in a waiting/lobby area. The curved back (like a collar) is extremely comfortable. Also available as a dining chair and soon a small sofa – yet to be released.
Paff Paff – Mattiazzi
The Paf Paf chair features an impeccably crafted wooden structure – a perfect reflection of Mattiazzi’s core design principles. The frame has been paired with two soft cushions that naturally rest, inflate, and deflate. An inviting chair, Paf Paf is excellent for reception areas to instantly welcome guests.
F300 Chair – Gubi
To continue the lounge chair theme, Gubi release their latest design the F300 chair, designed by Pierre Paulin. Made from fully recycled polymer and with a distinct sculptural shape, the design is both quirky and comfortable.
Pietra – Gubi
Also new from Gubi, is the stunning side table collection, Pietra. Available in a rectangular or square form, these beautifully robust tables can be used as a bedside table or a sofa companion, as demonstrated here.
Loto – Maxalto
Maxalto’s Loto side table collection caught our attention in Milan. Available in various woods, finishes and sizes they will stand out in all sorts of settings. In addition they can be combined with a tray that fits perfectly on the table top – ideal for tea/coffee stations in hotel bedrooms.
Aksel Desk – Porada
Aksel is a contemporary desk rich in unique details. The distinctive feature is its dual-section top, separated by a groove that allows the combination of different materials. The main section is crafted from Canaletta walnut, while the back section is available in marble or Plus leather. The groove between the sections also provides a handy passage for cables.
Sam Coat Stand – Porada
A coat stand named Sam. Boasting many elements including a coat hanger, hanger for trousers, a coin tray with mirror and an upholstered stool, Sam works particularly well in bedrooms as it immediately adds style and practicality. Available in Canaletta walnut, Moka stained, Wengé stained or matt lacquered.
Ison Bed – Walter Knoll
Ison Bed is a new system designed to suit various needs and requirements. It has many variations including a high or low headboard, wide overhangs at the sides or as a corner bed. In each case, Ison creates a wonderful place to sleep. We particularly like the quilting of the headboard for extra cosiness.
Apollo – Pholc
The Apollo collection epitomises Pholc’s essence: simple yet expressive. Crafted from solid machine-turned brass or aluminum, the lamp’s conical shape provides a lovely soft glow. Ideally suited as bedside lights, these wall-mounted designs eliminate the need for messy wires and free up space on bedside tables.
