Tegel Rug  – Kasthall

‘Designed by the Pritzker prize-winning architect David Chipperfield, the Tegel collection is a family of hand-tufted bouclé rugs in wool and linen. The wool gives depth, warmth, and volume. The linen adds a discrete and vibrant note to the overall texture. Tegel is composed of three design variants Corner, Side, and Centre each displaying three colour areas in separate (but related) spatial configurations affecting the perception of the surrounding. The design of Tegel reflects a marriage between past, present, and future – paying homage to the knowledge and culture at Kasthall while incorporating the naturally weathered variations of the historic brick buildings at Kasthall’s headquarters and factory.
