Tangram provided a full interior design service for our lovely clients at Donaldson’s Crescent.
Having provided all the window dressings for this CALA development, we were thrilled to also offer our interior design services. This project was particularly special as it was one of the penthouse apartments – a stunning space with truly sensational views!
The lead interior designer for the project, Wouter Bossenbroek, was delighted to sink his teeth into this one! Immediately Wouter clicked with the clients and quickly grasped what it was they were looking for.
We believe building a rapport with our clients to be so important as this ensures they can feel completely at ease during the design process and can freely share their thoughts and ideas. In getting to know our clients we can ultimately come up with the best possible design solution – an interior that perfectly reflects them, not only just in terms of style but function too.
Donaldson’s Crescent was a terrific example of getting to know our clients: their style preference, their likes and dislikes and also their lifestyle.
Designer furniture brands such as Poltrona Frau, Porada and Walter Knoll were selected offering a real sense of refinement.
This was not a project with a focus on statement pieces, aimed at creating a big impact. Instead, it was about choosing timeless items that blended into the apartment in a more subtle way.
Details such as the saddle leather sofa frame, the irregular caramelly veins in the coffee table and the velvety soft rugs, all contribute towards creating a feeling of luxury and elegance.
This level of decadence continued into the outdoor space whereby Pietboon outdoor furniture sits proudly. The generously proportioned sun loungers, sofa and lounge chairs await for the warmer evenings.
Warm neutrals were chosen throughout the apartment and this created a lovely holistic interior where each room’s aesthetic flowed seamlessly into the next.
The various tones of beige and grey that feature throughout work so well because they are a perfect reflection of the striking sandstone architecture that sits opposite – Donaldson’s Playfair.
