Perth Theatre has undergone a major refurbishment and extension, designed by Richard Murphy Architects.
Tangram were approached to propose café furniture that would complement the architecture and colours of the new space. Several options were reviewed by the various theatre stakeholders before the final selection was made.
The space showcases the raw textures of exposed bricks, wooden floors and steel structure. Combined with high ceilings this created an industrial-like interior for us to work with.
The Happy chair by Andreu World sits with pedestal tables that have a deep blue top, echoing the Persian blue walls in the café.
Our approach for Perth Theatre was about selecting pieces of contemporary breakout furniture that are as much about function as they are about style.
