30 Sep Scottish Home Show ’14
What busy bees we’ve been this past couple of weeks! This weekend’s destination was the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. Where Tangram was a proud exhibitor at the Scottish Home Show, showcasing our interior design services in Scotland.
We pulled out all the stops for the event and after a fair bit of elbow grease and team work we managed to produce a stand to be proud of.
In the left corner was our B&B Italia showcase including the hand-stitched ‘Ray’ sofa, the ‘Charles’ low table in grey oak and the incredibly comfortable grey ‘Husk’ chair which proved to be very popular with the child visitors (and their ice creams – eeeeek…)
Not without mention is also the lovely ‘Tiles’ rug from Kasthall which added a touch of cosiness to the contemporary setting.
And in the right corner the spotlight was on Fritz Hansen with a touch of Swedese and Flos. Sitting quietly in the back corner is a piece that needs no description – the Egg™ chair. Even in its less than obvious position, the iconic hand-stitched chair drew in a number of exhibition goers with whom we were more than happy to discuss its timeless design.
However, it was the recently relaunched Drop™ chairs and the new Analog™ table from Fritz Hansen that really stole the show. Displaying in Scotland for the very first time, both the table and chairs attracted a huge amount of attention. We decided to feature the beautifully crafted table in white and oak, however if your dining area is perhaps a darker theme it is also available in walnut and black!
The Drop™ chairs, originally launched in 1958, surprised most with their level of comfort. At first glance, you wouldn’t immediately think of relaxation! However, the Drop™ chair perfects the style/comfort equilibrium. (And comes in so many brilliant colours!)
We had very enthusiastic response to our stand and all the products we showcased at the Scottish Home Show in Aberdeen this year and a fantastic time was had by all. Thank you Scottish Home Show 2014 and to the whole Tangram team for pulling it out the bag!
