10 Nov Meet the Tangram team – Pippa
Meet the team
To help you get to know us that little bit better, we have asked each member of the Tangram team a few all-important questions! We hope you enjoy the read this week and should you wish, please feel free to pick up the phone for a chat!
This week we catch up with Pippa Drucquer, read on to find out more!
Name: Pippa
Job title: Marketing and Business Development Executive
- What does a typical day at Tangram look like for you?
My days vary quite a lot really. I could be updating the website with new products, posting on our social media accounts, creating content and writing blogs, chatting with interior designers and architects…these are just a few tasks as I have lots of interesting roles within my job. No day is the same which I love.
- Favourite designer/interior designer/architect or hero?
My all-time hero is Sir David Attenborough. I actually once dressed up as him to a fancy dress party (you didn’t really need to know that, but the blog theme is to get to know us!)
In terms of a designer/architect, I would say Patricia Urquiola. Her designs are always amazing and she’s just so cool. I particularly love the Husk bed she designed (it’s dreamy) and creates an instant wow factor. She’s also worked with so many incredible brands and a lot of her newest products have a sustainable factor which is always great to see.
- Describe briefly what your dream home would look like – particularly the interior?
I think I have quite an eclectic style, I love seeing a lot of colour in a home and I like a mix of furniture from different eras. Every item would tell a story and would have its use, I don’t like clutter but I do like lots of things….that’s quite contradictory isn’t it?! Lots of plants and interesting artwork, that would be lovely!
- Favourite thing about your job?
There is a real creative side to my job which I love! Whether that be writing content for blogs or styling a dining table for an Instagram reel, I often get to show my creative side and that brings me a lot of joy.
- What do you like doing when you’re not at work?
Surfing, swimming, painting, long walks, short walks, running, drinking coffee, meeting up with friends 🙂
- What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
Well I didn’t actually eat this because I consider myself a relatively sane person, but I was once offered a fried tarantula by a lady in Cambodia. I’m not even sure the locals liked them…her stall was completely empty. Perhaps if I ever go back I’ll give them a try and report back. No promises though – I am scared of spiders, even dead fried ones.
- Scones – Jam then cream or cream then jam?
Jam first. All day, every day – what a question!
We hope you have enjoyed this week’s blog post and getting to know the Tangram team! Keep your eyes peeled for the next ‘Meet the Team’ or to find out more about us visit our About Us page.
