06 Jun Fritz Hansen’s new Fabric
Fritz Hansen has introduced a new fabric range for their Swan chair by Arne Jacobsen. The Milani fabric from Romo is a high quality material, tightly woven and perfectly covers the dynamic curves of the Swan chair – an elegant while cheaper option.
It is available in 11 vivid colours.
Arne Jacobsen designed the Swan chair in 1958 as contemporary contract furniture as part of a special interiors commission for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen.
Developed in Jacobsen’s own garage, the Swan was a technologically innovative chair with no straight lines – only curves.
This design classic has been in production for decades and is still specified for domestic and contract interior design in Scotland and all over the world.
