Carnoch Church

Carnoch Church
Tangram teamed up with one of Scotland’s leading contemporary practices, Dualchas Architects, to supply interior design services and advice on a unique residential project.
Contrasting Design
Set within the misty Strathconon Glen, the focus was the beautifully renovated Carnoch Church. A building of contrast, the open valley location and weathered stonework of the building are in stark comparison to the pristine inner shell. On the inside, sharp angles are soundly offset against the welcoming arches of the windows which allow light to flood in throughout.

Complementary Design
Most old churches have impressive ceiling height and this building does not disappoint. After renovations, the entire church is bright and airy and features a fantastic open living room.
Tangram was able to complement Dualchas’ building design and create individual spaces within the open plan space. The Bundle sofas curves are welcoming and inviting, while the oak EM dining table by Vitra creates a separated eating area, and acts as a softer extension to the kitchen island. Pairs of Carl Hansen chairs create a charmingly mismatched effect while retaining a sense of cohesion, creating a comfortable dining environment.

The Result
Unforgivingly contemporary, Carnoch Church is the perfect example of how Tangram can provide the professional finishing touches to create your perfect modern home.
