Abbotsford House is located in the Scottish borders, well known for being the home of Sir Walter Scott – a Scottish historical novelist, playwright and poet.
Abbotsford is said to be “a palace of the imagination” and we were thrilled to be a part of a project rich in historical significance.
We worked in conjunction with interior designer Joelle Reid to create a restaurant & café setting that would allow visitors to relax and enjoy the views of the Abottsford grounds. It was therefore important that the space complemented the traditional surroundings yet simultaneously provided a fresh and welcoming atmosphere using modern interior solutions.
This was achieved using Menú benches from Sancal, designed so that they can be moved freely in any setting. Globus chairs and Onda stools from Stua were also chosen to create the desired result of a light and contemporary interior.
